At send time, Swif inspects the email body, subject line, and, depending on policy, recipients in Gmail and Outlook web. It does not monitor drafts, keystrokes, or content while someone is composing, only the moment they click Send. Attachment scanning isn't supported yet.
No. Policy evaluation happens in milliseconds inside the browser extension, so there's no noticeable delay between clicking Send and the message going out or being blocked.
Email DLP covers Gmail and Outlook web through the Browser extension on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Native desktop mail clients aren't covered. PII tracking, file upload restriction, and sign-up prevention work across web apps and AI tools accessed through a managed browser. Devices just need to be enrolled in Swif MDM, there's no separate agent to install.
